Criteria for Admission
Two forms of financial aid available from the NOCPH are graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships. Pending availability of funding, graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis. Applicants are advised that not all forms of financial aid are available every semester and that Ohio residents are given preference for the NOCPH graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships. Forms of financial aid other than graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships may be available. Contact Ms. Beverly Cooper (419-383-3436) at the Office of Student Services and Financial Aid for more complete information regarding the other forms of financial aid.

The NOCPH graduate assistantships provide a stipend plus scholarship of tuition for full-time students. Graduate assistants are required to enroll for a minimum of twelve semester credit hours each semester and work for twenty hours each week. Graduate assistantships are awarded for a twelve-month period, pending maintenance of a satisfactory grade point average. Students may reapply to extend a graduate assistantship beyond twelve months, but highest priority is given to new students.

The NOCPH tuition scholarships are available for full-time (12-15 semester credit hours) and part-time (6 semester credit hours) students. They are awarded for two to three consecutive semesters, pending maintenance of a satisfactory grade point average. At the conclusion of that time, recipients may reapply for another tuition scholarship, but highest priority is given to new students.
