Students complete two core courses at each of the three campuses (BGSU, UT-Main, and UT-HSC); four major courses at one of the three campuses; and, elective courses at a minimum of two campuses. Since the three campuses are in close proximity (20 to 40 minutes), travel will not be unreasonable. By completing courses at the three campuses, students will increase their access to resources such as libraries, computer centers, other public health students, and faculty. MPH students have library, computer, parking, recreational, and health service privileges at all three campuses. The MPH degree is awarded jointly by Bowling Green State University and the University of Toledo.

The program offers all courses during evenings and some courses on weekends to facilitate graduate study for both full- and part-time students. Evening classes meet once per week and weekend classes meet on alternating Saturdays. Courses are offered during Fall, Spring, and Summer terms.
